Where is the joy?

As the veil of autumn descends, we find ourselves surrounded by change. The days shorten, the light softens, and the trees begin their graceful surrender. There’s a quiet melancholy in the air, and yet, also a profound beauty. Nature does not resist this shift; she leans into it, trusting the rhythm of life, the wisdom of cycles.

In many ways, this mirrors the collective atmosphere of our world. We are witnessing upheaval, conflict between nations, division among communities, a rise in mental and emotional distress. The shadows are growing more visible, and for many, it feels as though joy has been eclipsed.
‘Here’s the truth: JOY is not absent. It is simply waiting to be remembered.’
Joy is not dependent on circumstances. It is a frequency, a choice, a sacred flame that lives within each of us. It is found in the laughter of a child, the warmth of a shared meal, the golden hue of a late afternoon sky. It is present in the breath, in the stillness, in the knowing that we are part of something greater.
To embody joy in times of darkness is not denial, it is devotion. It is a spiritual act of resilience. When we choose to smile, to dance, to create, to love, even when the world feels heavy, we become beacons. We remind others that light still exists, that beauty still matters, that hope is not naive but necessary.
Being in joy is a high vibration, and we must generate it daily so that we may become radiant lighthouses in the fog. Joy softens the frustration we may carry from feeling restricted or silenced. It dissolves the illusion that we must wait for the world to be healed before we allow ourselves to feel good.
Joy is not frivolous. It is medicine. It is sacred. It is the soul’s way of saying:
‘I remember who I am.’
There may be days when joy feels far away, when the news is overwhelming, when grief visits, when the weight of the world presses in. But even then, joy can be found in the smallest of gestures: lighting a candle with intention, whispering a prayer, wrapping yourself in a soft blanket, watching the moon rise. These are not escapes, they are returns. Returns to the heart, to presence, to the divine spark within.
So, as the season turns, let us turn inward. Let us ask ourselves: Where is the joy in my life? If the answer feels distant, let us begin again. Let us seek it in small things, in sacred rituals, in connection, in nature, in service. Let us become the joy we wish to see.
‘Joy is not gone. It is here. It is ours to claim.’
